A'Famosa Resort Malaysia. The name conjures up images of a bygone era, when the bustling port city of Malacca was not only the commercial hub of Asia but an exotic melting pot of cultures, ideas and architecture as well. The A'Famosa is in fact named after the famous 16th century Portuguese monument, which is all that remains today of the Portuguese fort which once formed an imposing circle of stone around the entire city. The logo of the resort also incorporates a stylized silhouette of the gateway in the background.
